The mission of Leadership & Community Engagement (LCE) is to provide UNC Charlotte students with leadership skills and development opportunities through individual programs, retreats, and experiential learning. These students will develop lifelong leadership skills that can be utilized within a variety of educational, social and business settings. The experiences students gain through academic-sponsored leadership programs and courses will influence the campus socially and culturally.

Being involved in a fraternity or sorority can help to build new skills that can be advantageous throughout life. These benefits can include leadership development, organizational skills, and the invaluable personal growth that comes from this involvement. Fraternity & Sorority Life provides opportunities to be involved in campus leadership positions, community service, planning of social functions, positions within the chapter, scholarship opportunities and irreplaceable friendships, all helping you to grow and succeed while at UNC Charlotte and throughout life.

The Student Centers department oversees services and spaces that create a welcoming environment for the University community to support student success. Within our two student-centered facilities, the Popp Martin Student Union and Cone University Center, the team provides student employment opportunities, manages the NinerTech Computer Store, provides integrated facility and event services, oversees the Charlotte Esports program and supports additional campus partners for services such as dining and retail operations.

In support of students who serve the campus community with forums for free exchange of ideas and dissemination of news and information, Student Niner Media Advising and Support provides personal and career development in an environment that encourages creative expression.

Venture Outdoor Leadership uses experiential and adventure education techniques to provide transformative experiences that build character, develop leadership and improve teamwork. Venture hosts adventure trips, has challenge courses for team building, a rock climbing wall in the Student Activity Center and more.

The Student Involvement Office connects students to engagement opportunities throughout campus. We advise students on creating impactful experiences that cultivate community and develop student leaders.
